Public Domain Movies | And Then There Were None

The story begins with ten strangers, each with a dark secret from their past, who are invited to a remote island mansion called Indian Island by a mysterious host named U.N. Owen. Upon their arrival, they are greeted by the butler and housekeeper, Mr. and Mrs. Rogers, who inform them that their host has not yet arrived.

As the guests settle in, they discover that they have been brought to the island under false pretenses, and they are unable to leave due to a severe storm that cuts off all access to the mainland. That evening, a recording accuses each guest of committing a murder that has gone unpunished by the law.

One by one, the guests begin to die under mysterious circumstances that mirror the deaths described in the nursery rhyme "Ten Little Soldiers" displayed in each of their rooms. As fear and paranoia grip the survivors, they realize that the killer must be one of them.

With each death, the remaining guests become increasingly suspicious of each other, as they struggle to uncover the identity of the murderer and escape the island alive. Tensions mount as alliances are formed and secrets are revealed, leading to a climactic showdown where the truth is finally unveiled.

In the end, the true identity of U.N. Owen and the motive behind the murders are revealed in a shocking twist, leaving the surviving guests to grapple with the consequences of their actions and the realization that justice has been served in the most unexpected way (1945).
