The story is set in the future, where space travel is a common and routine occurrence. The world's most powerful nations have established a space station known as "Space Station Gamma 1." The station serves as a hub for space exploration and travel, and its mission is to monitor and control spaceships traveling to distant planets and beyond.

The film follows the character Ray Peterson (played by Rik Van Nutter), a brash and adventurous reporter for the Interplanetary News Service. Ray is assigned to cover a routine mission on the space station, where he joins the crew to document their work.

While aboard Space Station Gamma 1, Ray becomes embroiled in a series of perilous adventures. A series of accidents and mishaps threaten the safety of the station and its crew. The crew must also respond to a mysterious and potentially catastrophic event involving a spaceship carrying a deadly cargo.

As Ray documents these events, he finds himself at the center of the action, working alongside the station's crew to resolve the crises and prevent disaster. Along the way, he faces the challenges of space travel, including weightlessness, meteor showers, and other hazards (1960).
