Public Domain Movies | Cause for Alarm!
The film centers around Ellen Jones, played by Loretta Young, and her husband George, portrayed by Barry Sullivan. The plot takes a dramatic turn when George, a successful architect, becomes seriously ill and believes he is on the brink of death. In his delirium, George confides in a nurse, played by Margalo Gillmore, about a supposed plot against the United States.
Distraught and concerned for her husband, Ellen tries to contact the authorities to report George's claims. However, as George's condition improves, he is shocked to discover that Ellen has involved the police. The film takes a suspenseful turn as George, now convinced that his wife is conspiring against him, becomes increasingly paranoid and obsessed with proving his innocence (1951).
