Public Domain Movies | The Giant of Metropolis

Metropolis is ruled by a group of wise and enlightened scientists and philosophers who have harnessed advanced technology to create a highly advanced society.

The city is threatened by a group of primitive and barbaric tribes who reside in the surrounding wilderness. These tribes are led by the brutish and power-hungry tribal leader, Zerxes (played by Gordon Mitchell). Zerxes seeks to conquer Metropolis and plunder its wealth and advanced knowledge.

To defend Metropolis, the city's leaders turn to Obro (played by Gordon Scott), a powerful and heroic figure who possesses incredible strength and agility. Obro is tasked with protecting Metropolis and its people from Zerxes and the invading tribes.

As the story unfolds, Obro faces various challenges, including battles with Zerxes' forces and encounters with mythical and technological marvels. He also becomes entangled in a romantic relationship with a woman named Thalima (played by Yoko Tani) (1961).
