Public Domain Movies | The Great Gabbo
The film follows the story of Erich von Stroheim, a talented ventriloquist known as Gabbo. Gabbo is deeply passionate about his art but is also emotionally unstable. He becomes infatuated with a woman named Mary (played by Betty Compson), a fellow performer. However, Gabbo's relationship with his dummy, Otto, becomes increasingly complex as he attributes human emotions to the puppet.
