The plot of "Invasion of the Vampires" is set in a remote Mexican village plagued by a vampire infestation. The film follows a group of villagers who discover that the town's mayor, who recently passed away, was a vampire. They learn that he had been using his supernatural powers to control the town's inhabitants and keep them under his thrall.
The villagers, led by a heroic man named Enrique (played by Guillermo Murray), decide to stand up against the vampire menace and free their town from the vampire's control. They seek the guidance of a wise old man who is knowledgeable about vampire lore and is skilled in the use of crosses and garlic to ward off the creatures of the night.
As the story progresses, the villagers confront a growing number of vampires, including the mayor's undead wife. The film features traditional vampire lore and elements, such as wooden stakes and crosses used to combat the vampires (1963).
