The story follows Dr. Peter Ulof (played by Richard Derr), a brilliant scientist who has developed an invisibility formula in his laboratory. However, when Ulof's colleague Dr. Ulof's colleague, Dr. Maria Selby (played by Jeanne Bates), is murdered by a criminal gang led by a mysterious figure known as "Mr. Steele," Ulof decides to use his invention for justice.
Using the invisibility formula, Ulof transforms himself into the Invisible Avenger, a masked vigilante determined to bring Mr. Steele and his gang to justice. With his newfound ability to become invisible at will, Ulof sets out to investigate the murder of Dr. Selby and thwart the criminal activities of Mr. Steele's organization.
As the Invisible Avenger, Ulof uses his invisibility to infiltrate the criminal underworld and gather information on Mr. Steele's operations. Along the way, he encounters various obstacles and adversaries, including Mr. Steele's henchmen and corrupt law enforcement officials.
Meanwhile, Ulof's actions attract the attention of reporter Julie Evans (played by Deborah Kerr), who becomes fascinated by the mysterious Invisible Avenger and sets out to uncover his true identity. As Julie delves deeper into the case, she forms an alliance with Ulof and assists him in his quest to bring Mr. Steele to justice.
