The film follows the story of a newspaper reporter named Jimmy Dugan, played by Norman Foster, who works for the Daily Express. Jimmy is given an assignment to write a story about the secret life of women. To gather material for his article, he decides to go undercover and experience firsthand the challenges and excitement faced by women in various professions.
Disguising himself as a woman, Jimmy takes on different roles, including a nurse, a chorus girl, and a maid. Along the way, he becomes entangled in various comedic situations, misunderstandings, and romantic encounters. As he navigates the challenges of his new identities, Jimmy gains a deeper understanding of the lives of the women he is impersonating (1935).
