Seymour Krelborn (played by Rick Moranis), a nerdy and downtrodden florist who works at Mushnik's Skid Row Florists. Seymour is in love with his coworker Audrey (played by Ellen Greene), but she is in an abusive relationship with her sadistic dentist boyfriend, Orin Scrivello (played by Steve Martin).
One day, Seymour discovers a strange and exotic plant he names "Audrey II" (voiced by Levi Stubbs of The Four Tops). This plant becomes the star attraction of the flower shop and attracts a lot of customers, saving the failing business. However, Seymour soon learns that Audrey II has a unique and dangerous appetite—it craves human blood. To ensure its growth and success, Seymour must feed it human victims.
As Audrey II grows larger and more demanding, Seymour finds himself in a moral dilemma. He must continue to feed the plant to keep the shop successful, but this means committing increasingly gruesome acts. The film follows Seymour's struggle as he tries to balance his love for Audrey, the pressures of the flower shop, and the insatiable demands of Audrey II (1960).
