The film centers around a young woman named Burma Roberts (played by Harley Wood), who is a happy and innocent girl living with her family on a fictional island. One day, Burma and her friends attend a beach party where they encounter marijuana for the first time. After trying the drug, Burma's life takes a dramatic turn.
Burma's experimentation with marijuana leads her down a path of moral degradation. She becomes involved with a man named Tony Santell (played by Pat Carlyle), and the two of them become drug dealers. As Burma becomes entangled in the world of drugs, she faces the consequences of her choices, including legal troubles and strained relationships with her family (1936).
