Public Domain Movies | One Eyed Jacks

The film begins with two outlaws, Rio and his partner, Dad Longworth, who rob a bank in a small Mexican town. After successfully stealing a large sum of money, they plan to escape across the border into California. However, things go awry when Dad decides to double-cross Rio.

Dad takes most of the stolen money and leaves Rio stranded in the desert, betraying him and promising to return for him later. Rio is captured by Mexican authorities and sentenced to five years in a prison in Sonora.

Five years later, Rio escapes from prison and seeks revenge against Dad. He tracks Dad down to Monterey, California, where Dad is now the town's sheriff and has a new life, complete with a wife and stepdaughter. Rio is torn between seeking vengeance and rekindling the relationship he once had with Dad. The film explores themes of betrayal, honor, and the blurred lines between good and evil (1961).
