The story begins with a man named Robert Sands (played by Robert Foxworth), who works as a scientist specializing in parapsychology. One day, during a laboratory experiment, an explosion occurs, severely injuring him. As a result of the accident, Robert gains extraordinary psychic abilities, including the power to teleport himself and influence people's thoughts.

With his newfound powers, Robert embarks on a quest for revenge against those he holds responsible for the accident and the pain it caused him. He teleports to various locations and uses his psychic abilities to torment and harm the people he blames for his suffering.

The film also introduces Dr. Harrison Snow (played by Stefanie Powers), a parapsychologist who becomes involved in the case. She is determined to understand the source of the psychic attacks and stop the mysterious assailant.
