The story begins with a group of passengers, including a diverse mix of women, onboard a flight over the Pacific Ocean. However, their journey takes a dramatic turn when their plane crashes onto a remote and uncharted desert island.

Among the survivors are Ruth Wilson (played by Joan Woodbury), a resourceful nurse; and Alice (played by Ann Savage), a nightclub singer. As the women assess their situation, they realize that they must work together to survive in the harsh and unforgiving environment of the island.

However, tensions arise among the survivors as they struggle to adapt to their new surroundings and contend with the challenges of survival. Ruth emerges as a leader among the group, using her medical skills and ingenuity to provide for the group's basic needs and keep morale high.

As the days pass, the women encounter various obstacles and dangers, including wild animals, treacherous terrain, and internal conflicts. They must confront their fears and confrontations with each other as they strive to find a way to escape the island and return to civilization.

Meanwhile, a group of men, including a pilot named Steve (played by Allan Nixon), set out to rescue the stranded women after learning of their plight. However, their efforts are complicated by the rugged terrain and the unpredictable nature of the island.

The climax of the film sees the survivors facing a series of challenges and obstacles as they make a daring attempt to escape the island and return to safety. With courage, determination, and teamwork, they overcome the odds and emerge triumphant, reunited with their rescuers and ready to begin a new chapter in their lives(1951).
